TOWN OF DELISLE NEWSLETTER.

COUNCIL HIGHLIGHTS

Council held a regular meeting on December 14th.

Permission was granted to the Golf Club to access raw water from Wells #3 & #4 for the purpose of irrigating the golf course.  Further negotiations will need to take place between the Town and the Golf Club to determine who is responsible for what capital and operating costs associated with this arrangement.  The Golf Club will now need to investigate whether they wish to proceed with this proposal.

The Town will apply for funding under the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program for the installation of lighting on Ball Diamond #1 located in Harold Worth Park at an estimated cost of $208,000 plus taxes.  There is no guarantee of grant funds under this program.

The Town entered into a new lease agreement with Access Communications for the property on which the Access tower sits upon.

CLEARING OF SNOW

A reminder to residents and businesses in Town, that snow removed from driveways, sidewalks, etc. is to be placed on your lawn or lot whenever possible rather than on the street. The Town will be approaching anyone who fails to comply to ask for their co-operation.

REMOVAL OF GARBAGE/RECYCLING CARTS

To assist with snow removal services, please remove garbage/recycling carts off the street as soon as possible after collection. Also, please do not place the carts on the street any sooner than the evening before pickup.

SEWER AND WATER CONSENT FORM

The Town of Delisle is offering a service that allows you to receive your quarterly sewer and water bill by e-mail vs regular mail.  This is NOT a mandatory service and this will NOT apply to tax notices.  If you wish to still receive your bill by regular mail, then you can disregard the form and nothing more needs to be done.  If you wish to receive your bill by e-mail, then you need to fill out the form that was mailed with your last bill and get a copy back to the Town Office.  You can either drop off your original copy at the Town Office, mail it to Box 40, Delisle, Sask. S0L 0P0 or e-mail it to delisle@sasktel.net.  If you have misplaced your form or need another copy of the form, just stop by the Town Office or phone 306-493-2242 and another form can be mailed, faxed or e-mailed to you.  Or you can go on our website at www.townofdelisle.com and print a copy off if that is more convenient.   Please note that if you wish to be on the e-mail program, you will not be added until the form is completed and handed back to the Town Office.
