COUNCIL HIGHLIGHTS

Council held a regular meeting on Sept. 14th.

The Town accepted BRP Mobile Service’s quote of $6,225.00 plus taxes for the installation of an irrigation system on the Splash Park property.

The Tax Lien List was approved and authenticated and will be advertised in the Clark’s Crossing Gazette newspaper.

The arena booth kitchen will be leased to Leonard Mooney for the 2021-22 season.

The Town will observe all provincial Covid guidelines/regulations for their public facilities without adding any further Covid regulations of their own.

Northern Glass & Mirror Ltd. was hired to replace the 9 vertical windows on the south side of the Town Office building.

New agreements were signed for the establishment and funding of the Delisle and District Health Council Corp.

COMPOST & GARDEN WASTE

Pick-up will be Oct. 5th for COMPOST & GARDEN WASTE & Oct. 19th for COMPOST.

Garden waste will be collected during compost pickup without any need to package the garden waste. The Town will collect garden waste provided it is in a convenient area in the back alley. This service is only for garden waste and only available on Oct. 5th.  

Compost will be picked up in the back alley and should be in a 17-gallon capacity plastic or metal can. If weather conditions are not favorable, pick-up will occur later in the week.

DELISLE BYLAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER

Do not call the R.M. of Vanscoy Police Officers for complaints within the Town of Delisle. They do not have a mandate to provide policing within the Town of Delisle. However, they can provide policing in the event of an emergency or extenuating circumstances. Under normal circumstances, please call the Bylaw Enforcement Officer or the RCMP depending on the seriousness of your complaint.

DELISLE & DISTRICT RECREATION

Delisle & District Recreation will not be having a Halloween party this year due to increasing Covid cases.

Pickleball sessions are Tuesday evenings from 7 – 9 p.m. and Wednesday mornings 9:15 to 11:15 a.m. at the Delisle Curling Rink. Fees are by donation. All are welcome.

Yoga Begins Oct 4th for those registered.
