COUNCIL HIGHLIGHTS

Town Council held a regular meeting on November 8th.

Effective January 1st, the cost to purchase a columbarium niche will be amended to $1,525 plus GST broken down as follows:

Niche – $800

Original plaque & 1 extra date plaque – $725

An extra $50 plus GST for any additional date plaques that may be needed or requested.

Monica Colborn was hired for 20 hours/week as a part-time office assistant.

Stevenson’s Industrial will be hired to convert one side of our arena ice plant from R22 refrigerant to XP40 refrigerant at an estimated cost of $15,000 to $16,000.

The Town will apply for funding under the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program for the replacement of the east Lift Station and accompanying force main at an estimated cost of $2,555,000.  The Town will be responsible for 26.67% of this cost if approved.

Certain outstanding accounts will be added to property taxes if they are still unpaid as of December 31st.

NEWSLETTER SUBMISSIONS

Please have all submissions sent in by the 25th of the month. You can email submissions for the newsletter to j.delisle@sasktel.net. Only community-based notices will be accepted.


IMPORTANT

Please refrain from flushing down your sewer line anything that could cause a sewer blockage in your home or in the Town’s sewer system! e.g. rags, clothing of any kind, disposable diapers, feminine hygiene products and flushable wipes.

DELISLE SPORTS CELEBRITY DINNER GRANT

Through our annual fundraisers, we are able to provide capital funding with the Delisle Sports Celebrity Dinner Grant.
Sports, culture & recreation organizations in Delisle and surrounding areas are encouraged to apply for support for their projects.
Applications are open from January 1st to March 31st of each year.

DELISLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

We are looking to add to our staff at DES, we have a position open for a full-time EA in our school. The hours of work are 8:45-3:15 and the contract will start ASAP and go until February 17th, 2023. There is a possibility that it will continue until June.
We are also looking to grow our EA sub list. If you enjoy working with students we would love to have you in our school. Sub EA hours are 8:45 – 3:15.
